Rise of Vishwamitra : The Kaamdhenu Puzzle and Trishanku’s Universe explained by the immortal Lord Hanuman

After a short break, the sixth session of Charan Pooja started. Yajmaan of this session was a Mathang woman called Kaaljita. Before she could make Arpanam in the holy feet of Lord Hanuman, her soul had to be purified. In order to do that, Lord Hanuman spoke following words of wisdom.

“O Mathangs, as I told you, after the end of Satyuga, souls of MaanavLoka were classified in broadly 3 groups – (1) Rishis (2) Prithus (3) Nishadas. Rishis used to live in Ashrams - away from mainstream society. These Ashrams still had Satyuga-like powers. For instance, Ashrams were able to feed an entire army without a single grain of food. Lord Indra would make anything out of the fluid of space on request of Rishis.

“Imagine an army which is hungry and passes by an Ashram. Their hunger vanishes suddenly and they feel as though they ate best of food. Wouldn’t they become curious to know the secret of this miracle? They would lose interest in earning their day-to-day living and try to find the magical thing which could fulfil their desires without doing anything. They may even go to the extent of attacking Rishis and ruining the Ashrams. The society would collapse.

“To avoid such a situation, Rishis used to modify memories of people after helping them fulfil their desires. So an army passing by an Ashram would get their hunger satisfied and never knew about it. Blessings of Rishis would beget poor people riches; sick people health; infertile people child; aimless people aim; hopeless people hope, and they never knew about it.

“However, sometimes Rishis would reveal the secret of Ashrams to those who were eligible enough to know the secret. One such eligible soul was a king called Kartavirya Arjuna of Haihaya kingdom. Mahishmati was his capital.
